How It Happened

The Hawks jumped out early, scoring a goal after just under six minutes of play to put them on top 1-0.  The Warriors countered with shots by Caleb Compton and Ben Baker, but they did not meet the net.  Baker continued to pressure the Hawk defense and moments later got the ball around the Hawk goalkeeper to allow the Warriors to tie the game 1-1 at the half.

Chowan pressured Southern Wesleyan in the second half with several shots on goal, but Miguel Uribe got between the ball and the net to keep them from pulling ahead.  However, the Hawks were persistent as Mitchell Levi Lewis passed the ball to Toby Sims who shot it in the net to put the Hawks up 2-1 and win the game.
