How It Happened

Southern Wesleyan took the first shot of the game off the foot of Malik Ibrahim, but Barton countered with several shots on goal.  The Bulldogs struck first as Pol Monells scored his second goal of the season.  The Warriors continued to put on the pressure with shots by Caleb Compton and Ben Baker.  Barton pushed ahead on a goal by Ruben Mancio off a pass by Pol Monells to take a 2-0 lead over Southern Wesleyan.

The Warriors fought back, taking shots on the goal by Caleb Compton and Grant Kiker, but goalkeeper Francisco Noguera kept Compton's from the net and Kiker's ball went wide to the right.  The Barton offense continued to pepper the net with shots, but Miguel Uribe and the Warriors defense kept the ball away.  Cale McLarnon took a header shot on the goal, but once again the Bulldogs goalkeeper swept it out of the air to keep the Warriors from scoring.  Barton went on to win the game 2-0.
